Applying for an Account
To open an account, you will need to first register with us online, and to verify both your email address and your telephone number. Once these have been registered, you may then log into SuisseGold.com to place an order. Accounts may be opened for both individuals and companies. For orders or accounts exceeding a certain value, Anti Money Laundering documentation is required. This includes a copy of your passport or government-issued ID, a utility bill or bank statement confirming your address (not older than 3 months).
For certain clients, this documentation may be requested for orders below USD 10,000 or foreign currency equivalent. This includes accounts where there is additional risk, or for individuals residing in countries deemed high risk.
Investing in Bullion
Once your account has been opened you may place an order online. Orders may be placed for Swiss precious metals storage or delivery. For clients taking delivery, it is important to remember that your order will be shipped internationally, and is, therefore, subject to customs clearances and inspections. Where applicable, VAT is also charged upon importation. Please note that for clients domiciled in countries where we are unable to deliver parcels, our vault storage service is always available. For clients looking to store their purchase in Switzerland, goods can be stored VAT-exempt. We recommend Swiss vault storage for all clients where possible. This is recommended for the following reasons:
1. With Swiss vault storage, no VAT is applicable. For goods ordered for delivery, customs charges may be added upon importation.
2. Customs officials frequently open and tamper with shipments, and occasionally refuse them into the country and they are returned to us.
3. Goods stored in our facilities are secure and insured. They can be delivered or sold back to us at any time. We also offer collection via appointment.
Payments
Payments via bank transfer originating from banks located internationally frequently take several days to reach our account. For this reason, we request that you inform us once your payment has been issued so that we know to expect it. Please note that we do not have a limit on orders payable via bank transfer. For clients placing orders and paying with cryptocurrencies, we accept orders valued at up to $100,000 per order. For clients looking to place orders above this amount, we request that you make your purchase across several orders. Payments via cryptocurrency are normally confirmed within several hours.
