Each coin contains one ounce of 999 fine investment grade silver bullion.
Design of the 1 Ounce Silver Buffalo Coin
The 1 Ounce Silver Buffalo Round features an iconic design steeped in American history and culture. On the obverse side of the round, it features the profile of a Native American, a tribute to the indigenous tribes of the United States, with remarkable detail showcasing the facial features and traditional headdress. The reverse side of the round displays an image of an American buffalo, also known as a bison, standing atop a mound of prairie grass. The images echo those seen on the Buffalo Nickel minted from 1913 to 1938. Above the buffalo, the weight and purity of the silver - "1 Oz .999 Fine Silver" - are clearly engraved. Despite its simplicity, the striking imagery and craftsmanship of the Silver Buffalo Round make it a standout piece for any precious metals portfolio.
The silver Buffalo coin is produced by several mints, and as such the design varies slightly. These coins are particularly popular for silver investors, due to their low premium.
The design of the silver Buffalo round is inspired by the 1 Oz gold Buffalo coin that is manufatured by the US Mint. The US Mint does not manufacture a Buffalo coin in silver. These rounds do not come with a legal tender value.
Why Is Investing In Silver Rounds So Popular
Silver rounds are popular with investors for a number of reasons. Silver rounds are sold at a lower premium to silver coins, and are therefore popular with silver investors looking to buy low premium silver. They're also highly versatile and accessible, available in a range of sizes to suit different budgets and investment strategies. Silver rounds are also renowned for their beautiful designs, offering aesthetic value alongside their inherent monetary value. Moreover, they are easy to store, making them a practical choice for those with larger holdings. Finally, as silver rounds are often produced by private mints, they can offer a wider variety of designs and limited editions, attracting both investors and collectors alike.
