These collectible Heimerle & Meule silver bars are particularly popular in Europe, as they are the only 'coin bar' produced and in circulation.
The Heimerle & Meule 1 Kilogram Cook Islands silver bar features an image of Queen Elizabeth II on the front, which gives it official 'coin' status. This means that there are VAT benefits to purchasing this silver bar over a standard silver bar if you live in the EU.
The front of the bar features the weight, fineness and metal, in addition to the Heimerle & Meule logo. An image of a boat sailing is also located on the front of the bar.
These bars have been produced by Heimerle & Meule in cooperation with the government of the Cook Islands.
The Cook Islands also produce the 100 gram silver combi bar, which is available in either 10 gram or 1 gram increments. These bars were released in 2011 in response to the European economic crisis.
