The silver Kookaburra coin is produced by the Perth Mint, and is available in 1 Ounce, 10 Ounce and 1 KG sizes.
The coin features an image of Queen Elizabeth II on the front, with the
coins face value printed beneath. Each 1 Ounce silver Kookaburra coin
has a face value of 30 AUD.
The reverse side of the coin features an image of two Kookaburra birds
looking at each other while perched in a field. Beneath the image is the
coins year of mintage, weight and fineness. All silver Kookaburra coins
are 999 fine.
The Kookaburra coin series is only available in silver. However, the
Perth Mint also produces a number of other coins, including the Kangaroo
coin, available in gold and silver, the Koala coin, available only in
silver, and the Platypus coin, available in platinum.
