The Peoples Republic of China issues the Panda series of coins annually as the country’s official precious metals coins available to investors worldwide.
2022 is the first year that the Chinese Mint has manufactured the Chinese panda coin in platinum since 2005. The Panda series was first launched in gold in 1982, and 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the series. This is the first year that Panda platinum coins have been issued in gram denominations. This is because the Panda series was issued in ounce and fractional ounce sizes until 2015.
The Platinum Chinese Panda series is available in both 1 gram and 30 gram sizes.
