Design of the 10 Oz Heraeus Silver Bar

The 10 Ounce Heraeus silver bar is a cast bar. It is made by pouring silver into a mould and then stamping the bar's information onto the top as soon as the silver has cooled down.

The top of each bar features the Heraeus logo, followed by the word 'Feinsilber', and the bar's purity of 999.9. The purity of 9999 exceeds the purity required to meet investment grade bullion standards. In the middle of the bar is the Heraeus logo, which features a hand holding three roses, encircled by the words 'Heraeus Edelmetalle, Hanau'. At the very bottom of the bar are its size of 10 ounces, and its serial number.  The reverse side of the bar is left blank.

These bars are sold sealed in plastic. They are cast bars, which means that the bars are poured and then stamped, not minted.
