The top of the bar features the RCM logo. The base of the bar features the bar's fineness of 999.9, and its serial number. The reverse side of each bar features an image of a Canadian Maple Leaf.

The Royal Canadian Mint is based out of Ottawa, Canada, and has been refining bullion for more than 100 years. The mint was initailly a branch of the Royal Mint, and its purpose was to manufacture Sovereigns on behalf of the British Empire. 

The Mint became independent when Canada began to mint their own coinage, and became a member of the Commonwealth, and an independent state.
