Design of the 2024 Platinum American Eagle Coin
The 2024 release of the American Eagle platinum coin features Lady Liberty on one side, and an American Eagle on the other. On the front of the coin, the word 'Liberty' is prominently displayed on the top of the coin. On the right of the coin is its year of issue. Directly below this inscription are the words 'In God We Trust'. On the coin's left side, the Latin phrase 'E pluribus unum' is inscribed. This phrase is meant to symbolise America's tradition with democracy.
The back of the coin features an American Bald Eagle soaring, set against the backdrop of a rising sun. The inscription 'United States of America' is inscribed on the coin's top. Also featured on the coin's reverse side are its purity of 9995, its weight of 1 ounce, and its legal tender value of $100 USD.
About the American Eagle Series
The United States Mint releases the American Eagle coin series annually. The series was first released in gold and in silver in 1986, and the series was immediately successful.
