Design of the 2023 Silver Krugerrand Coin

The silver Krugerrand coin features an image of Paul Kruger, one of South Africa’s most famous politicians, on the front. Circling his portrait is the word ‘South Africa’, written in both English and in Afrikaans.

On the reverse side of the coin is a Springbok, which is native to the country. The top of the coin features the word ‘Krugerrand’ and the reverse also features the coin’s year of minting and weight.
