History of Valcambi
Valcambi SA was founded in Switzerland more than 50 years ago, and its brand is synonymous with all of the high-quality Gold bars they continue to create. Since 1967, Valcambi SA has been known by this name. It was formed in 1961 as Valori & Cambi SA. Credit Suisse acquired 80 percent of the company's shares in 1967, eventually attaining full control in 1980.
Valcambi, on the other hand, became a fully owned subsidiary of European Gold Refineries Holding SA in 2003. EGR was founded by the founders of Valcambi and Newmont Mining Corporation in that year. Valcambi maintains a 40-year relationship with Credit Suisse by producing the bank's cast and minted bars.

Valcambi is also credited with being the first licensed refiner in the world to create 1000 g and 1 oz coined bars (1967).
Valcambi Cast Gold Bars
Valcambi gold bars are either cast gold bars or minted ingots. Unlike many of its rivals, Valcambi Suisse provides gold bars with a consistent design. Cast gold bars are the most basic form of gold for sale and the simplest to manufacture. Gold is melted before being put into prefabricated, heat-resistant molds. The gold is allowed to cool in these molds, either exposed to the air or sealed inside the mold until the gold bar reaches room temperature.
Why Should You Buy Gold?
Gold's value often climbs during economic downturns, currency devaluations, and geopolitical unrest, making the current price of Gold fluctuate up. Due to the limited global supply, gold's purchase value has generally stayed steady throughout inflationary periods. Many see Gold as a safe haven for just this reason and, when considering the current market uncertainty, purchase Gold to balance out their portfolio.
