Design of the Silver Kangaroo Coin
The 1 Ounce Silver Kangaroo Coin is an exceptional product that was designed in order to compete with the already popular silver Maple Leaf coin. It has been competitively priced at a low percentage premium over the spot silver price. Struck from 99.99% pure silver, the coin has a diameter of 40.6mm and a thickness of 2.98mm. The obverse displays a rendition of Queen Elizabeth II by the acclaimed sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. Also featured on the front of the coin is its legal tender value of one Australian dollar.
The coin's reverse side features a distinct red kangaroo, a testament to Australia's unparalleled wildlife. The image of the Kangaroo on the coin is updated annually, so the design of the coin varies depending on the year of issue. For authentication, a minute letter is micro-laser engraved within "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO", visible solely under magnification.
The silver Kangaroo coin is currently only available in a 1 Ounce sizes however, tubes of 25 coins and monster boxes of 250 coins are also available.
